AudioEvo.org Launches Geotargeting Advertisment System

Sacramento, CA — AudioEvo.org, a social community website for audiophiles and music lovers, announced today the launch of their new advertising platform which takes advantage of geotargeting, a method of displaying ads based on the geographic location of the Internet user.

Geotargeting has become an important tool that online publishers use to allow their advertisers to target specific locations where their ads are displayed. An audio dealer who is located in San Francisco, for example, may not want to pay for Internet users in Los Angeles to know about a special sale. In this example, by excluding locations outside of San Francisco, the advertiser is able to get a better value for their advertising dollar by advertising to local consumers only. Sites like Facebook and Google have been using this technology for years. Small audio-related websites, however, have struggled to implement it.

Gavin Fish, co-founder of AudioEvo.org, added, "Manufacturers, distributors, and dealers of high-end audio gear have had a problem with the online advertisement systems on the most popular websites in our industry, though they probably didn't know it. With this technology, manufacturers will be able to advertise on behalf of their dealers and distributors in areas specific to those partners throughout the world. And they can do this for as little as $10.00, something that has been long missing in our industry."
